There are many community resources and services available to assist pregnant women and new parents.
Women, Infants, and Women (WIC)
WIC is a nutrition assistance program that supports families with children under the age of 5 by providing food and farmer's market vouchers to help families purchase healthy foods. WIC also conducts nutrition education, breastfeeding education, and breastfeeding support.
WICNurse Family Partnership (NFP)
NFP is a free program for women who are pregnant with their first baby. When you enroll you will be connected to a registered nurse who will provide the support, advice and information you need to have a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and be a great mom.

Denali Kid Care is the name of an Alaska expansion of Medicaid. It covers the cost of prenatal care for women who meet income guidelines. Learn more from the Department of Health & Human Services below.

Shiloh Community Housing provides a range of services to support housing stability and independence. These include financial assistance for rent, deposits, and utility needs; the LIFE Program, offering transitional housing and life skills for young adults; affordable rental housing for low-income families; a Furniture Bank that supplies essential home items; and a developing Community Resource Center that will offer job training, financial education, mental health, and wellness support.
